Dr. Emma Greear is a native of Coeburn, Virginia. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She went on to complete her rheumatology fellowship at Carilion Clinic Virginia Tech Carilion.
Dr. Greear's clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, gout, vasculitis, inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, crystal arthropathies, and other systemic autoimmune conditions. She is passionate about providing comprehensive, evidence-based care while developing individualized treatment plans that improve her patients' symptoms, disease activity, and overall quality of life.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Greear enjoys reading, running, and gardening.
