Kaitlyn Mitchell, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant at Jefferson Family Physicians, a division of Healthstar Physicians, PC. A Knoxville, Tennessee native, Kaitlyn earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2025 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Tennessee.
During her physician assistant training, Kaitlyn completed surgical-focused clinical rotations in family medicine, orthopedic trauma surgery, general surgery, women’s health, emergency medicine, pediatrics, hospital medicine, behavioral medicine, and dermatology.
Kaitlyn values the relationships built through family medicine and enjoys helping guide patients and families through every stage of life. Her professional interests include preventive medicine, wellness, chronic disease management, and primary care across the lifespan.
She is an NCCPA Board Certified Physician Assistant and also holds Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Kaitlyn is a member of the Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants.
Outside of medicine, Kaitlyn enjoys traveling, lake and pool days, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends.
