Karen Robinette, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner with The Family Practice Center in Newport. A native of Dandridge, Tennessee, Karen joined Healthstar Physicians in July 2026 and brings nearly three decades of nursing experience to her role.
Karen earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from South College in 2022 and completed additional education as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2024. She is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Her clinical interests include chronic disease management, preventive health and wellness, patient education, women’s health, mental health, and care for patients across all stages of life, including pediatric and adolescent patients.
Karen believes in treating the whole person with compassion, respect, and evidence-based care. She values building meaningful relationships with her patients and helping them take an active role in their health.
Outside of work, Karen enjoys traveling, baking, hiking, gardening, photography, volunteering, and following professional sports.
