Sherry Foster, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner providing podiatry care at Healthstar Physicians Premier Medical in Newport, Tennessee. A native of New Market, Tennessee, Sherry joined Healthstar in October 2026 and brings more than 26 years of healthcare experience to her role.
Sherry earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Walters State Community College, followed by her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University. Throughout her career, she has gained experience in bedside nursing, healthcare leadership, and primary care, including serving as Director of Medical-Surgical and Intensive Care Services, House Supervisor, and Interim Chief Nursing Officer.
Her clinical interests include comprehensive foot and ankle care, diabetic foot care, wound care, chronic disease management, and preventive care. Sherry is dedicated to helping patients relieve pain, improve mobility, and maintain their independence and quality of life. She holds national family nurse practitioner certifications through both the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Having spent much of her career caring for patients throughout East Tennessee, Sherry believes in building lasting relationships through compassionate, personalized care. She strives to ensure every patient feels heard, valued, and confident in their treatment.
